Dublin airport is bigger, but this does not mean it's more efficient. I prefer to travel from Cork or Shannon where possible.

Dublin but most american flights stop in shannon, you can get off there or it's another 20mins to dublin

froggequene
Dublin, Shannon is quite small

Conor O
Depends on what you mean by 'bigger'
terminal capacity, passenger numbers, number and size of runways etc.
Dublin is bigger in every respect except by runway size with shannon having the largest runway in ireland.
Dublin's existing terminal is bigger than shannon's, and will be much bigger when dublins new terminal 2 opens in 2010.
Dublin airport carries 22 million passengers annually, shannon carries over 3 million.
So yeah dublin's bigger.

I'm not quite sure what the size of Dublin is, but in my experience, Shannon was little.

Carla
Dublin, another small one is my local regional Waterford.

Dublin is. Shannons ok in size, but if you want to see a small airport go to Knock!

embi40
Probably Dublin as it is the capitol of Ireland.
