Any day is a possible celebration, but ya, as the girls said, but never heard of some of the stuff Orla said, but I'll go along with it. We also have: "Open a bag of tayto's" celebration. "They'd celebrate the opening of a bag of taytos.

1st February, St Brigid's Day or Imbolc, depending on your tendencies.
17th March, Paddy's Day (St Patrick)
Easter, no set date.
May Bank Holiday weekend, or Bealtaine if you prefer.
I like to celebrate Midsummer.
Lughnasah is still celebrated where I live, that's called Lammas in Northern Ireland and England. It's an ancient pre-Christian 'thanks for the harvest' type of thing. Around the same time is the Puck Fair in Killorglin, Couty Kerry. Google this to find out more about it.
Hallowe'en - my favourite! Only in my house we refer to it as Samhain.
Christmas. With its usual overkill.
New Year's.

not forgetting that there's loads of parades in the north during July, especially the 12th. Then in November there's the burning of Lundy in Derry. The Apprentice Boys marches as well.
