Jury's Inn Parnell Street is probably the best located if you are interested more in the shopping than the nightlife, as it is right at the top of O'Connell Street (the main shopping street). If vice versa, Jury's Inn Christchurch is dead near Temple Bar (all the bars and clubs). Either way, you're in walking distance of virtually everything. The only exception is the Guinness Factory museum, you can get the bus 123 from O'Connell Street for that. Jury's Inns are definitely the best value though. If you have any trouble finding anyhting, the Irish are really helpful and friendly.

Go for a B&B instead if you're looking for inexpensive places to stay.

The Mespill hotel is really nice and once I got a room for 89 euro which is quite good but a weekend it's be pricier.

Try the Jury's hotel group. The Jury's Inns are the cheapest, and all are well-located.

The Charles Stewart Parnell is a nice budget hotel really close to O' Connell St.

Just yesterday I passed by the Jury's Montrose Hotel in Booterstown/Belfield and it had a big sign up saying € 99 per room. The hotel is situated about 4m from city centre (I think) but there are busstops for the express bus exactly outside the hotel. On the bus it'll take you about 15 mins into town. The journey will cost something like € 1,35.

Jury's as suggested, or the Ripley Court on Talbot Street.

There's not really such a thing as a cheap Dublin hotel.

If you're prepared to go out into the suburbs, there are some nice B&Bs.

I just booked Eliza Lodge that had high reviews on a trip site. I'm paying 95Euro for a weekend night on the penthouse level. It is located in Temple Bar. I hope it helps below is the website that is pretty nice.
