Ah tis a fine place ta spend time,,,smiles.

I am partially of Irish/Scot descent and have been in both countries. I enjoyed Belfast, and was well treated. The rural Ireland is beautiful and certainly caution is advised, though not as critical as in the recent past.
I advise to anyone, never travel alone, always have people who know where you are. Never engage in politics or religious chat, with strangers or locals. Always treat others with the respect that you'd expect given the siutuation were reversed, and enjoy the trip.

Newgrange (north of Dublin - historic site, older than Pyramids)

Galway (vibrant small city on beautiful west coast)

Giant's Causeway (Northern Ireland nature wonder - or paranormal wonder?:-)

Glencolumbkille (Great village on far north west corner, with largest cliffs close by)

Doolin (best little pub with live music and good food)

Cliffs of Moer (well...)

Bushmills (Distillery in Northern Ireland)

I went to Blarney Castle, Powerscourt gardens, Book of Kells, Aran Islands, Kilkenny Castle (Kilkenny), Cobh Museum, Bunratty Castle, and the Ring of Kerry.

I would have liked to see the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland too.

The Ring of Kerry, number 1, it has the best sights and the towns give a really clear picture of the people. More open spaces and down to earth people, the above mentioned can not be beat!

cork and go and kiss the blarney stone

the caves in fermanagh. Mourne mountains. Do not miss the spectacular North coast drive with the giants causeway and carrick-a-rede rope bridge which can be found along the route.
