Ennis has no universities, but nearby Limerick city has 4 third-level educational establishments: UL (University of Limerick), Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT), Mary Immaculate College (nicknamed Mary Eye) and Limerick Senior College (LSC). There is also an establishment known as HSI but I don't know anything about that.

Otherwise there are also third-level institutions in Galway city, which are: University College Galway (UCG) and Galway Institute of Technology.

Pink lady
The nearest to Ennis would be UL (University of Limerick) or L.I.T (Limerick Institute of Technology)

Waterford is trying to get university status in the WIT - its a massive college, I think it will be a university pretty soon!

Katie D
the main ones are ucd trinity and dcu (all in dublin). UCG in galway, UCC in cork and UL in Limerick. but we also have many IT's which are also very well regarded colleges. Dublin has many IT's and Waterford also has a great one (WIT). the nearest to ennis would probably be UL in Limerick, however, there are probably more ITs around the area that may facilitate courses you might be interested in also, however UL is the nearest well regarded university.

look up http://www.qualifax.ie and http://www.careerdirections.ie
