good craic, local spirit and good music are all the real qualities of an irish pub which u can find all over ireland!!!

Yes also there is cushioned stools and table in nearly every irish pub didn't think this was special thought this was in most pubs

Most bars have high stools at the bar area, an area with fruit machines, high tables with high chairs or low booths with cushioned pews.

PMSL @ the answer from Connor P - I have lived in Ireland all my life and been drunk in pubs in many, many occasions, and have never had my wallet stolen and been left on the street.

If your brother was extremely drunk he probably lost his wallet and fell asleep at the table, prompting the bar staff to throw him out.

Yes, the stools and tables are typical, but in recent years I've started to see higher tables and chairs on which you can eat a meal comfortably - a lot of pubs do food as well, and cheaper than many restaurants. There's usually a large fireplace, with a fire, but this also depends on the size of the room, a small pub won't use the fire.

most irish pubs always has a good atmostphere and friendly bar staff and regulars as it is like a home to a home where friends & family meet for a good session

usually good music, good people and good craic and throw in alot of drink and you have a good irish pub

the decor in irish pubs is quiet similar but then depending on the size of the pub

Irish pubs also have better beer gardens/smoking rooms which accomodate for smokers which i havent seen in many other parts of Europe that the smoking ban has been enforced

If you're talking about an Irish pub outside Ireland then it's typically dark, with stone/wood on the interior walls, lots of road signs, Guinness ads, old photos etc.
Pubs in Ireland are all different, the same as other countries. You'll get some of these "typical" Irish pubs alright, but you'll also have more modern pubs, more upmarket pubs, and pubs for different types of music etc.

Depends what pub you're in. Most have a tall bar, with stools, and then some other booths. Dark colors, lots of wood. Very low lighting. Usually there's a Guinness sign somewhere on the wall, almost always accompanied by a shamrock. Oh, and of course, there's lots of beer. You should go to one, and see for yourself. ;D

Wood furniture, a fire place, friendly flirty staff, high stools at the bar, and a place to dance when there drunk enough to do so.

I dont exactly know if they have cushioned stools or anyhting I'm guessing that they have some sort of comfortable seating, but I know its INCREDIBLE rude to get drunk their, if you get drunk they will steal your wallet and everything you have and then leave you on the street

I know this because my Big brother is studying abroad in ireland right now
