The midlands, mostly because it gets the moist/dry air collision typical of plains areas borders by hills, and it causes huge torrential downpours that come out of nowhere, like Texas or the tropics. So far this summer, there have only been 2 days when there hasn't been a tropical downpour at some time during the day, and with the moist air coming off the shannon, we get thunder storms as well.

All over Ireland is chilly, rainy but then I dont know about giant rainstorms though. Donegal is pretty bad for wind + rain !!!!!! ("p)
