I was watching it for once - my sister was in the audience and she'd shoot me for not watching. Why oh why is Pat Kenny allowed to continue? I hate Gerry Ryan, but at least the man is able to get his guests to talk. He did absolutely fine, threw in the odd swear word to keep Tommy Tiernan under control and was a gentleman to Tony Curtis. He asked some properly probing questions of his guests and seemed more interested in them than in sticking tightly to the schedule, which is the impression you get of Pat Kenny - he's just letting the guests talk til their time is up, you get no real sense of having learned anything about them at all. Tonight's show just compounded the fact that PK has the personality of wet cardboard and the interviewing skills of a spoon. Get rid of him!

I thought Gerry is better on the radio. Somehow his airwaves outrageousness didn't translate well to TV. Tommy Tiernan was irrepressible, as always. Roseanne Barr was a disappointment. Bland, uninteresting and totally self absorbed. I wondered how on earth she had ever become famous. |

Well at least people might actually watch the late late show with Gerry presenting it, where as with Pat and his hideous jumpers and absense of personality no one was arsed. I missed it, so i'll have to watch the repeat. |
