What do you think about Irish accents?

I find it funny how all Americans go mad for our Irish accents. Anyway, American accents aren't even accents to me. We have American tourists here all the time, they always ask in such a loud and obnoxious voice, "do I have an accent to you"? I just want to roll my eyes....ugh. They always ask the most silliest questions. No I don't have any leprechauns living in my house. We don't like when you try to speak to us in our accent. You slaughter the hell out of it.

i think mine is pretty neutral, people (americans) can usually understand what i'm saying when i'm on holidays although sometimes they think i'm from england!

I think you're being unkind, most tourists I meet are never like that. And I love some American accents. As for Irish accents, I love the Cork accent, girl..I work with a few people from Cork and I could listen to them all day but I never ask anyone to repeat themselves, unless I didn't hear what they said.

Maybe they find you obnoxious too

There are way more American accents than Irish ones. It's a very extensive country with a huge diversity of accents. You must have a very limited knowledge of Americans, even the ones who come here to visit. My favourite American accent is from Tennessee - like honey dripping on your lips. I'm not too fond of the Valley Girl accent, but our own version of it (Dortspeak) is waaaay more annoying as it is pure affectation. And I don't find loud Americans to be any more irritating than loud Dubliners, Corkonians or Galwegians, to be honest. My favourite Irish accent is probably a soft Kerry one.

You forgot that we're fat and wear black socks w/ our sandals and have a camera permanently attached to our hands.....

It goes both ways doncha know? No Ohio is not in or near New York, Chicago, Miami or Los Angeles. I don't have any celebrity friends. I don't have a reality TV series, in fact I don't even like them. I don't live at McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut, or any other fast food restaurant there are no roads actually paved with gold, and you can keep your damn potatoes....they're fattening anyways :P
