I'm sorry for the man. He got this job just at the wrong time. No matter what he says or does, it's going to be the wrong thing to many people. He obviously isn't responsible for all the mess heaped on his shoulders, but with his job, the buck stops there. It is his baby to deal with it.
But didn't Bertie get out just in time before any more **** hit the fan? Lucky or wha'?

He's a gobshyte who's out of touch with the country. How stupid was he to think the pensioners would roll over and acept their medical cards being taken away?
And when ya look back on his triumphant return to Offaly when he became Taoiseach! What a joke! It was only trotting after the Nuremberg Rallies for pomp and pageantry.

I cant stand him (honestly).
Brian Lenihan would be a far better taoiseach but they ruined any chance of that happening by giving him the job of dishing out the worst budget in recent times,if not ever.

he'd make a great taoiseach, but we haven't got a chance to see that come out really, because of Lisbon and the recession.
and he's getting blamed for everything. Brian Lenihan is an evil crook, colmcure2, and would make a horrible taoiseach. that's why he's after putting out such an awful budget. so we'll force cowen out and lenihan will be taoiseach. and Lisbon is probably the only thing that is his fault, for not informing us properly.
