It's fantastic, a very arty, predominantly young person's town. But that's not to say everyone can't enjoy it. I'm from further north, but I lived there for 6 great years. Lots of great pubs and many fond memories of great nights. If you are thinking of living there, I am sure you would enjoy it.

Yeah it's a great Place to live and go out in. I much prefer galway to Dublin.

But you can't beat Roscommon !!! (joke!!)

Galway fantastic place for business and nightlife **CITY),
Expensive property etc unless out of city,quality of life has changed all over Ireland..
I think I live in the best county Leitrim....

If you're young you'll love it.My son lived there for a year doing part of an apprenticeship and reckoned it was a nice place,great craic.Has a holiday atmosphere.I'm from Donegal.
