not much different really:
people are spending less now,
house prices are falling slightly,
oil is far more expensive,
our sports team now suck
crime associated with illegal drugs is still prevalent
kerry are still the best gaelic football team,
the roads in the west are still terrible,
traffic in dublin is still mental,
much more non-irish now living in ireland,
alcohol is more expensive,
the smoking ban is brilliant,
the weather is still terrible (global warming hey, don't you just love it, it must have forgot ireland, we should have temperatures like those in southern spain by now, lol)
the government are still crooks
up north paisley and mcguinness are seen everywhere together (who would have thunk that 5 years ago!!!)

Is máith liom cáca millís!
Pretty much the same! :O) Although progress in the north is coming along nicely :O), I'd never thought I'd see the day when Mc Guiness (and Adams!!) and Presley stand side by side and talk!

Ireland has become a big disappointment in my eyes its craweling with drugs an crime an its health system is a mess an one of the biggest problems is everyone still turns a blind eye ...as you can see form the answers above me ..everyone is still pretending thats its a lovely wee place with green feilds.. Am afraid not people..

From above...

'I'd never thought I'd see the day when Mc Guiness (and Adams!!) and Presley stand side by side and talk!'

Presley? Who's Presley? Elvis?

It's a bit more expensive, but this is due to oil prices I think. Certainly petrol was a lot cheaper 5 years ago.

For a serviceperson and the Police. it is a lot safer.
