What do you think of that Carlsberg Ad?

The one where some guy says "do something Irish" and he spurts out a load of crap, I can't remeber exactly what he says but it is something along the lines of "May I go to the toilet, I 'm wearing a jumper and a fox. I like cake. - everyone repeats "Cáca Milis" etc.

I hate it, and think it is a huge insult, but it seems some people think it is the work of a genius.

Wow, you need to lighten up!
I think its brilliant. Its just playing on the fact that most people in irelnad speak very little irish if any once their finished school, and that is 100% true!
I don't get why you find it insulting, its true. I know the facts (so little people able to speak fluent irish) are sad but you gotta face up to the truth!

I love it! It's so typical of Irish people going abroad and saying whatever they remember from primary school just because no-body understands!

it's funny
and if it offends you, you really need to lighten up, it's only poking fun at how little gaeilge most irish people can speak

Much better than their current one (the Hawaii thatchers). Nothing's worse than their 'Gaffer' add.

Cringe cringe cringe!!

I think its a genius add. Most Irish adults don't continue Irish much after school, yet everything he said in the add, we could understand, purely as these are Irish sayings drilled into us during our school years. I nearly pi**ed myself when i saw it.

suek
its just poking fun at the fact that even though most children learn irish for 13 years, the best they could come out with was a few phrases they remembered that weren't relevant i found it funny and probably couldn't of said as much as they did.
