What do you think of the Northern Irish accent?

I'm from Belfast and personally, I don't like it. Although I guess it depends where you live. I like most of the Southern accents, especially the Dublin accent, it's pretty cute!

So, what do you think of it?

Hi!, I'm the opposite, I really like the Northern Irish accent and don't like the Dublin accent at all.
I am from Co. Mayo in Southern Ireland I quite like like my accent its not as harsh as the dublin one, we call "Jacks".
Well look at it this way at least your from the best country on the planet, I know we might not have the best weather, but we have the "Craic!"....what else do you need
You are who you are in this life thats what makes us unique!

"It could be worse you could speak with a Welsh accent - no offence to the Wesh of course!

Are you serious?? I hate the Dub accent(no offence to any Dubs) and the Northern accent is gorgeous, makes me weak at the knees! But maybe that's because i'm from the South and have no accent :(

I should be doing something else

Well there are some Northern Irish accents I like and some i don't. (I live near Belfast) I dont like the broad Belfast accent as it sounds really aggressive and common (Sorry) But the Larne accent is horrible, by far the worst.
Generally anyone in Counties Fermanagh and Tyrone have lovely accents.
I like all southern accents except for the Shannon accent, it's f*cking awful! The Cork accent is the nicest.

For southern accents, I like the Texan one the best. I like most of the accents in the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland.

living in the south, I can't really say I like the accents, alot of us sound the same. I like the Northern Irish accent, I have cousins living in Belfast and 3 towns in Co. Down. but my favourite accent is the letterkenny (in Donegal) accent though, it sounds like a mixture of both north and south.

I love the girls N.Irish accent, it's really nice IMO (I think it may be the Derry one)
The guys isn't as good on the old ears though!

I get bored of the Cork ones...boi

I like it, a lot actually.

I'm from Donegal so being biast I would choose that as my favourite accent. I think there is a big difference between a Donegal and a northern accent, but I don't think you really know which is which unless you're from there.
A lot of my cousins have very strong Dublin accents, some of them are cute, I agree! but some aren't!
I have quite a strong Donegal accent but you can understand me!

= )

I agree with you. I love the southern Irish accent. Having a somewhat urban London accent, I can't brag about it, but I always thought the Belfast people sound as if they are holding a stone under their tongue. Poor dears - they can't help lit.
