I've always thought they seem like very friendly people. Ireland is such a beautiful country, and I'd love to visit.

.
I don't speak for the world but for me they are nice people and mostly from Ireland.

Thats a question that will be answered differently by each person who answers. The Irish are one of the most stereotyped people on Earth. Its sad but true. Many people perpetuate the stereotyping and some are ignorant enough to believe it. When I think of Ireland I think of one of the best educated nations in the world with a very rich history.... :o)

Met some in New Mexico. Very nice group of people.

I must admit that I never really understood why the Protestants and the Catholics of Ireland could not get along in the recent past. Its a very deep rooted and complicated thing though I am sure.

I think irish people are happy and very cultural. I have met many and they are so different, and they are good singers also.

I think they are all very rich now, at least the ones that own property! Too bad I didn't buy some when it was cheap....it is very ironic that there is now net immigration into Eire, after centuries of sending people abroad to escape poverty at home
