Podge and Rodge Tribute Band

What goes on at RTE during the summer months?

Is there a fella that turns out all the lights at Montrose in June leaving just a tape playing the programmes over the summer months until they all come back in the autumn?
Plank Kenny has been missing since the Late Late ended (Thank God), he’s probably gone halfway round the world in the fruitless search of a personality.
That Tubridy fella’s gone AWOL as well, he’s probably doing a bit of weight training.
Marian Finucane can’t be seen for gold dust , she’s probably gone to get the nicotine taken out of her lungs.
Joe Duffy’s nowhere to be seen or heard, he’s probably working the waltzers at the fairgrounds.
Derek Mooney’s disappeared as well, he’s probably gone off with a few birds (only of the feathered variety).

These people get paid a fortune by RTE to take the whole summer off! Where else would you get it?!

They may all be gone, but the worst part is they'll all be back - sure someone has to stop the re-run of reeling in the years.

No wonder I'm driven to drink, which reminds me I better get a move on......now where's me trolley

How can you talk about the crapness of RTE without mentioning Fair City?!

They may as well take the winter off as well, cause there is nothing worth watching on R.T.E.

Yes, they are well behind the times in running a tv station, only a handful of reasonable shows, not enough to justify them though.

RTE should be ashamed of them selves for such drivel. that is why i do not own a TV i refuse to pay them money for drivel that they show, i watch my tv online and bypass the licence altogetter.
