I live right beside dublin city centre and i also like indie bars. there is only one though- Eamon Dorans in temple bar but it's not cheap.
Monday- wednesday all long neck bottles are 4euro but other than that your going to be paying 5-6 euro for a pint
excellent place though, there's also bruxcells and fibber mcgees but it's more so 'rockers' in there
dorans is the place your looking for... plus the men aren't exactly bad looking either

There is no answer to this question. Cheap and Temple Bar do not mix together, in fact Cheap and Dublin city do not mix either.

I would think you would be best walking down temple bar and trying as many as possible !

Eammon Doran's
Lukas
I live in Dublin and I can assure you there are NO cheap bars ANYWHERE near Temple Bar!
You can try Eammon Doran's, very popular bar with live music downstairs and it's right on Temple Bar.
The Turks Head is also quite good but as I said nowhere is particularly cheap.
Good luck!

There is a bar near the Porter house on Parliament street that's sound like what your looking for, sorry I cant remember the name but its on the same side as the Porter house, near Dame street end.
Will have the same prices as all the other bars in temple bar though..
