What is Dublin's winter like?

Is it snowy? Is it just heavy rain? I live in the bay area of California in the US, we get a lot of rain and really cold winters [rarely any snow] and then REALLY hot summers [in the 100's of degrees in Fahrenheit]. I prefer rainy weather, the kind where I can wear a Peacoat and a scarf and be good. I plan on coming to Ireland from February to June of 2010 and just want an idea of what kind of weather I will be encountering.

rain rain and more rain... we get hardly any snow only a couple of mm at most but never usually lasts more thana day or 2! feb will b cold at night prob drops down to about -2 0r -3 day time temps are about 5 to 10 deg.

march / april is coming into srping so will get slightly warmer at the moment its about 14 deg today

normally with ireland we can often get the 4 seasons in the one day it can go from been sunny to wet to windy to cold all in the space of a few hours its just so unpredictable!!

overall though we dont usually let the weather get us down, although ireland is just that tad bit nicer on the rare days when the sun shines !!!

enjoy your stay, make sure to visit the west of ireland( prob best to lave it till after march or april !! its beautiful!!

Ashley is dead on,today is Lovely tho,but we can expect that to change anytime,so bring warm jumpers and rain coats too.

It tends to be cold and wet, just warm enough for it not to snow, but cold enough to cause traffic nightmares like black ice .... You'll need a good wool coat, scarf and hat.

well dublin's winter is usually just heavy rain. sometimes it snows there. from February to june it will most likely be wet. but so far this year it has bee'n really good sunny weather! so you'll never know but most likly it will be either sunny or wet!! hopes this helps! and enjoy your stay in ireland. :)

Oh if the Irish in bad form the weather is quite dire.

It is always sunny in Ireland when we are in good form.

Edit: What I said is true. We had a bad Summer.
