I'm from Singapore...but i've heard that Irish people are very well-mannered people.
So I guess u must feel pretty loyal living in Ireland.

And oh yeah, you must notice the sky in the late evening, it has different combination of colours and I find it pretty spectacular though we have it in Singapore too.

I am an original American, who moved to Ireland when I was 12 then me and my family moved back too New Jersey when I was 18. I miss Ireland so much, I lived in Roscommon, which is a more rural area of Ireland. I find the people much kinder and much more laid back than here. The mentality of the Irish reminds me of the mid west, willing to stop and smell the roses. Granted there are a few grumps but for the more part people are lovely. When ever I missed the city life, I would just take a train into Dublin. As soon as I have made enough money to move back on my own I am going.

I'm Irish, from Galway in the west of Ireland
The grass is green and the water clear alright, it rain's quite a lot here, the country is fillled with rich history going back thousands of year's, And the sadness and pain of the millions whom had to leave this place because of famine and oppression though out the years is palpable in the mountains, valley's and countless ruins of houses, castle and such. But you couldn't pick a better place to be mournful, the neighbours, friends and family you have in Ireland are second to none, friendly and generous, and would give you the shirt of their back. We are fond of a drink, maybe too much so, and quick to fight but no grudge is held. And we practically built the world!

ive have a house in Donegal, and i go like three times a year. Ireland is so beautiful, the grass is very green but thats beacuse it rains so much. But there not torrental downpours theyre more drizzles and then the sky clears up and you see a rainbow. hahaaa but the people are lovely and so much more nicer than americans just much more friendly. Irish people arent a bunch of drunks but they do like to go to the pub everyonce in awhile. Its much more calm than america and just chill its not rush here rush there its relax. youll love ireland its the best place

with a name like Eric you're probably Viking Irish (last 1200 years) but we'll give you a huge "cead mile failte" welcome anyway. am on this island 42 years now lad and having seen all the countries of western europe i would say its the safest for a tourist.

the grass is clean and the water green and everyone has that "howya" twinkle in their eyes. s are friendly too. And with the worlds economy rightly f***** there is good VFM to be had here at last.

come and visit and email my Y!A mailbox whenever you want. Advice is free and i check in most days

St Patricks Day next Tuesday so if we all seem to be "busy" call us back say Thursday no Friday

I am born and bread here and I love it I wouldn't live anywhere else in the world. The area where I live is very peaceful your surrounded by nature everywhere you go, And it is as beautiful as it looks especially at sunset when your sitting on the cliffs looking out at the ocean.
So a long story short you haven't been misinformed at all.
