There are several good restaurants in Galway city. Park House in Foster St is a great all round restaurant with a great menu, great service and excellent food. Then there's Kirwins Lane just off Cross St. Again great food but a smaller menu to choose from and a little more pricey. Vina Mara in Middle St serves excellent food, has excellent service but is expensive enough. There are lots of other restaurants in the city area offering a wide choice of cuisine and price but my personal favourite is Park House Restaurant!! |

Da Robertas in Salthill does really good Italian food, best I've had outside Italy. Milanos in the City centre is okay but doesn't compare.
Tulsi is the best Indian restaurant in town.
Royal Villa is a good Chinese restaurant on shop street.
Cooke's as mentioned above is really quite good.
McDonaghs on Quay street does fantastic fish and chips, but also 'proper' seafood aswell.
It can be quite expensive to eat out here but go to on eof these places and you wont be soory. |

There is no BAD restaurant in Galway. For sheer athmosphere (and providing it is still there) you gotta get breakfast in "Lig-do-skee" in Market? Square. Its close to the Cathederal but north of the river |

Cooke´s Restaurant & Wine bar is very good. They have an extensive wine menu, nice food and it has a good atmosphere; you get the feeling you´re in a medieval living room, lots of stylish decorations and big stone walls. |

If your a vegetarian, try Homeplate of La Salsa.
Schonners in Salthill is excellent with lovely views of Galway bay. Quays is good on a Sunday for meat and two veg kind of dinner. Thai Garden is also great. |
