Crazygirl

What is an example of the best modern Irish saying 2009 (in relation to vital Tourist Info)?

Could you make up a modern Irish saying for 2009?

The Tourists would be very grateful.

Cheers for the answers.
Additional Details
That is a good one.

But I want a few new ones for 2009 to go with the Recession. A funny one.

:)

Like this:

"There is no such thing as travelling down the wrong road if it leads you to the right path in the end"

But I am not so good writing sayings. People always take them the wrong way.

Lol

Cheers for more answers

''I went to the atm today, it said insufficent funds, i thought is that them or me'' LOL not really a saying though more of a joke...

My favourite is 'the head on ya', as in, the appearance of your face is unsatisfactory.

You put your money in, you take your money out, in, out, in, out, move it all around, hide it before the feckin accountants arrive, that's what it's all about....

anseo, its 'the head on ye and the price of cabbage'....LOL

apart from 'in relation to vital tourist information' the only one I can think of 'may the road rise to meet you, and may the government not know your on it cause you'll be taxed'

but the one I keep hearing is ' sure yer better of on the dole, I'll ring Joe Duffy and tell him so, when he's feeling better of course'

Efnissien
Check out "overheard in Dublin", there's a few choice lines there and it's constantly updated.

But heres one I heard recently-
"I went to an ATM recently and tried to withdraw cash and was told 'Insufficient funds'- I wasn't sure if it meant me or the bank!"

Irish cutie!!
Ya feckin luder ya!! lol!!

how about "top o the morni.......nah just kidding.

I saw this on a website, "May your troubles be less
And your Blessings be more
And nothing but happiness
Come throught your door" ..its irish supposedly tho ive never heard anyone say it and i like it..it fits for the recession too.
