Hiya...
As Tasha said, above, the paddy wagon hostel is pretty popular. However, it can be a little rough around that area at night.
If you're on your own, have a look at the "Avalon" which is in a safer area and just as central...
http://www.avalon-house.ie/
It's also only minutes away from Whelan's, which houses some of the best gigs in the city
Either way, enjoy yer trip and ye never know...
Might see ya for a pint...!

<edit>
Oh yeah, meant to tell ya...
When you walk out the main door at the airport, turn to your left and look for the 16A bus. It'll bring you right to the Avalon, through the city centre.
The other busses like the Airport Express will charge you €5 whereas the 16A will drop you at a stop right beside the Avalon for €1.70...
(you'll need a prepaid ticket, which you can buy at the airport bus stop, or you need exact change)
If you tell the driver when you get on, he'll call you at your stop. Apart from that, most of us locals are the friendly chatty types and will gladly help with directions...
Have a good one... |

Hi,
To be honest with you I've never heard of any tourist hostel in Dublin city at all! I could be very wrong though..and If I am I'm sure someone will correct me. You will however get very nice hostels outside Dublin, like Co Wicklow for example... hope it helps! :-) |
