What is the easiest way to get from Belfast to Dublin? |
I want to travel from Belfast to Dublin on 16 Dec, but I can't find any decent train connections (just crazy ones that take 20 hours, with 8 changes). www.translink.co.uk seems to offer a bus service, but where do I buy tickets for that? Are there any alternatives? Additional Details I have checked irishrail, but can't find connections of under 20 hours there. And buseireann.ie has busses from B. to D., but no way to order tickets for that online, as far as I can see. |

You really must be joking. There is an inter-city train which does the 90 miles in less than 2 hours. And I do believe thare are at least five a day any day. Someone is seriously pulling your leg or are you just trying to wind us up?
just seen David f's answer above. That's my main man. The fuckwits are out in force tonight David. Don't worry we own most of England these days so it may be confusing for them |

Who is this idiot who thinks that Belfast is in England - and if he has no idea of what he is talking about why doesn't he shut up?
I have just been to the Irish Rail website (irishrail.ie) and found 8 trains on 16th Dec taking about 2 hrs 10 mins......Pretty difficult to cross the Irish sea on a train eh? |

I traveled from Belfast to Dublin last April using the Ulsterbus. The journey only takes a couple hours. I think a one-way trip is about $10.00/ 20.00 British pounds. |

As far as my knowledge Belfast is on west coast of England and Dublin is the Capital city of Ireland and there is no direct bus or rail root from England.Further you need a passport to enter in Ireland and the best way to go to beautiful city of Dublin is by Air.However you can travel through sea from Liverpool to Dublin which is the shortest way.Of course you have to get a train to go to Liverpool and then to Dublin.Good Luck to you and enjoy Dublin's Hospitality. |
