Eire = Ireland
In Eirinn = In Ireland
Muintir na hEireann = The people of Ireland
In all cases would normally have an acute accent on the initial E, which we call a fada, but the fada is normally omitted for initial capital vowels when writing Irish, or Gaeilge, which is the true Irish name for our language, rather than Gaelic.

So many answers, and they are all wrong.
The name is Éire with a fada on the e, "eire" means "burden".
It seems to be very hard to remember, even Post Éireann got it wrong at least once.

Eire but it depends on the sentence-it can be changed in to Eireann or Eirean as well...I can never remember when though lol :D

Eire. there is an accent on the first E.
Eireann is used in the possessive case of the noun, i.e. People of Ireland would be "muintear Eireann".
Or Repulbic of Ireland would be "Poblact na hEireann" again with an accent on the first E.
