Frozen to the ovaries...lol That's funny. This time of year, a guy could test his freezicles!
OK, enough levity. It is comfortable in the summer months. Temperatures like 22 (70) are normal. Autumn and spring are windy and rainy with temps more like 10c. Winter varies, but is generally raw and cold. Temps around zero are not uncommon. Obviously summer is the best time to visit. |

Wet and windy is very common, particularly in the west, as another answerer has said.
Mild, maritime climate, generally speaking. The weather can be very changeable, and very peculiar - I remember hailstones in July. |

Wet and windy whenever I've been there, especially on the West Coast (Limerick). |

It's usually wet and windy and cold. It's usually 10 degrees - 13. Not much more. Though at the moment the weather is nice and dry. |

Hey...weather is such a topcial issue here in ireland and one we complain about all the time!!!
Ireland is an Island so we are subjected to lots of wind and rain.. today we dont have either however it is quite dull and cold!!!
Dec, Jan and Feb...is the coldest time with rain and wind!!!
March, April and May...tends to be a bit nicer with longer and brighter days....but we do get some rain and wind!!!
June july and aug - is ment to be ireland summer time however we did not have any summer last year.....was quite dull, plenty of rain and when we did get a nice bright day it was great and every one appreciate the good day when we are lucky to get them!!! However..it was kinda mild eventhough we had rain........
Our weather is the reason we love pub, disco and socailising...in nice cosy and warm places....even when the weather is bad irish people make the most of it.......so if your visiting id advise the same!!
If your wondering what to bring.....i recommend a nice warm coat, jumper, t-shirt,(just in case its summery weather) socks, jeans, good shoes, a hat and gloves!!
If your heading out...boys....smart tshirts, shirts or both worn toghether!!! and jeans...dont forget your coat, gloves and hat!!!
Ladies...jeans, nice top, cardigan or ive noticed lots of girls making the most of black or coloured tights...with skirts or dresses...bring cardigan for extra warmth and like wise dont forget ur coat, hat and gloves! :)
Hope that helps!!! |

We have a cool temperate oceanic climate. Summer is usually between about 22 to 28 degrees, with bits of rain here and ther (Except a few years ago it rained for 62 days straight - although when we say it rains a lot, thats more of the defining aspect of the weather - it rains a LOT harder in a lot of other places). Winters are mild, usually between 5 and -2 or 3 degrees. |

Usually cloudy, and the dampness makes you feel cold even if the temperature isn't too low. For the past two years there's basically been no difference between summer and winter except that the winter's been slightly colder. |
