it depends on the airline (check out their website) and the class you're travelling on

From where and with waht airline? With Ryanair it's only 15KG and I think you have to pay for it. It varies with different airlines, as a rule, the average is 20kg. You should be able to find out on the airlines website.

You should check with your airline. They vary by company. If you are connecting to an national flight from within Ireland, you should also check that one. Usually national flights have higher restrictions because they are smaller planes. Of course, if your going via, train, bus, etc, once you get out of the air, also check those restrictions. Good luck!

misspubboss
i think its still 22 kg

Penfold
It should be on your flight ticket. If it isn't, check with the airline.

I am traveling in October and just got through with this issue.
Each airline has their own restrictions regarding weight and size of the carry on and checked luggage. Some allow 2 checked bags and some only 1. Some are stricter than others (check out the ridiculous restrictions at easyjet). Almost all airlines charge an overage fee as well. Easyjet allows 1 checked bag at no more than 40 kg and a carry on bag at no more than 20kg. The overage (if pre-booked) is $10.00 (US dollars) and $2.00 each lb. over 40--double if paid at the airport.

Do yourself a favor and pack a foldable bag in your carry on bag in case your luggage is overweight. Then you can balance the load between the bags. Go to your airline's web site and look under the contract of carriage for the baggage information. It should all be spelled out for you there.

It all depends on what company you fly with. Each airline has its own maximum weight restriction on luggage and it can periodically change.

Only the airline you are flying with can answer that.
Obviously it depends on where you are flying from and what class you are flying.

Weight allowances vary by airline and travel class....check your airline's website or call them for a definite answer...and make sure if you call get the name of the person you speak with and if you look it up print out the page so that if you get to the airport and they try and pull a fast one you have proof of where you got your info....happy traveling!!

It varies from Airline to Airline as do their strictness. I have talked the heads of the people checkin me in and got away with 22lbs over and I have been told to remove 1.5lbs.

Last year it was reduced from 70lbs to 50lbs with most airlines when flying coach.

I would reccomend you call the airline and make sure as it changed the week I flew out and did not know.

Good luck and Enjoy Ireland.
