The nicest thing about Ireland is the stories they tell. I love their folklore: Finn McCool, The Son of the King of Ireland, Fair Brown and Trembling, etc.

I love the way they honor storytelling. Authors, singers and storytellers pay NO TAXES.

The people. I visited Ireland four times, and I've always found the people to be extremely friendly.

Second, the countryside. What a beautiful island!

I would go back in a heartbeat.

The nicest thing about Ireland is the Irish Dance tradition. Given that it survives today, despite being repressed makes even more special. I have nieces who Irish dance and they competed in Ireland for the All Ireland Competion. The LOVED everthing there...but they always talk about the moss on the old stones - they are 14.

The scenery and landscape, looking out at it from an airplane window. The cobblestoned streets in town. The clean parks. The friendly people at the B&Bs. The public transportation.

Wish I was there right now!
