Outside of the cities and large towns, away from the motorways, but mind yourself if you're on the narrow roads on a bike without a light or reflective jacket.

Well, don't go to Dublin anyhow!
The west, definitely!
Galway or Donegal.
Or Cork at the southern tip.

Don't listen to the person who said Sligo- it's a crap hole, trust me, I live there!

outside parts of the cities of Dublin, Limerick, Cork and Athlone most of the Republic of Ireland has some of the safest towns and cities on planet earth. Very rare to find trouble in Connaught (counties Mayo, Sligo, Roscommon, Leitrim, Galway)

Tory Islands:
Located off the coast of Donegal.
The island is approximately 5 km (3 miles) long and 1 km (0.75 miles) wide.
It has a population of 170.
Irish is the island's main language.

Since the 1950s, it has been home to a small community of artists, and has its own art gallery.
