What qualifications do i need to do history in Ireland ? |
hay I got expelled from school and with my record I don't think im gonna be getting into any other schools.Im just wondering what qualification's do i need to do history in a collage in ireland I don't have a junior cert or leaving cert im 16 so I have plenty of time any collage or even fas course near castlebar is best

Even if you don't attend, they'll be able to give you advise on what to do next.
You could also investigate Post Leaving Certificate courses - some of them are run by institutions describing themselves as colleges but you'll need to speak to individual institutions to find out what their requirements are and if they have an alternative course you can do that could help get you into University:

Edit: You are unfortunately banging your head against the proverbial brick wall here because there are few alternatives available in the Republic of Ireland if you don't take the conventional routes. I'm sorry that Youthreach didn't work out for you, is there a chance they would take you back? Do you have a counsellor or a social worker who would be willing to negotiate with Youthreach to get you back in? Is there another Youthreach group in the same area that would be willing to take you on?

you'll need irish and history! but if you get a fetac you might be ok! do you have a youth reach center in your area? you could go to college when your 23 as a mature student were i dont think you need any qualifications to get in, but check that out cause every college is different! |
