When I go to Ireland the things I look forward to the most are Butler's candy (YUM!!!), buying a new bodhran (it looks like a small hoop with a leather hide stretched over the top), crystal - Waterford is the most well known - and local art work. Every area has different artisans of things you just can't get via email/internet. Where in Ireland are you going? In November I'm taking my 4th trip there :))))

Darjeeling Snow
Irish chocolates
Oatmeal
Irish Whiskey
Irish Jams & Marmelades
and
clothes
....to take back home !!

Hi, just go to O`Carrolls in Dublin. They are in all the main shopping streets. Just walk in and you will see all the typical tourists presents. Decide for yourself. you can check them out at
http://www.carrollsirishgifts.com

Hope it's of some help.

Butler's Irish chocolate... hmmm!!!

Jojodrums
One of those silly green hats with a clover on it and a giant foam hand that has Ireland written on it.

Oh, and a Westlife CD.. if you can't find that try Bewitched or something.

im irish but these are the things that i think are cool... those guinness slippers you can get in tourist shops - they look really comfy but are so cute too! and the tshirts you can get in there are funny... and shot glasses with the leprechaun (if i spelled that right...) on the side, i even have one of those! :)

Dan G
If you're going anywhere in Ireland, you should buy a pint of Guinness! It doesn't travel well and so it tastes pretty shite outside Ireland (seriously) The best Guinness is found in Dublin.
Also, don't be a fool and be taken into all that tourist stuff. Except maybe Waterford or Tyrone Crystal.
Buy whatever takes your eye and remember you got it in Ireland :) And all the memories that go with it :)

Misty Blue
You get some really decorative bodhrans.
