What to do in Dublin?

I'm going to Dublin this weekend, and I'm a little concerned about the weather -- It's supposed to be cold and rainy! Any tips about what to do while I'm there (I guess I'll be needing some indoor activities!).

I'm already planning to go to the Gunness Brewery.

Thanks!

There's absolutely loads of things you can do in Dublin - even if it is raining!

As you've said, the Guinness Storehouse is a good indoor attraction and if you want to continue on the theme of alcohol you could pop along to the Jameson Distillery to check up on the history of whiskey.

Another good activity might be to take a Viking Splash Tour - its a tour of Dublin in a bus which transforms into a boat and travels along the River Liffey...it's great fun and you get to wear a Viking helmet to help get you into character!

There are loads of galleries & museums in Dublin as well - National Gallery, National Museum, Chester Beatty Library and so on.

Another indoor museum is Kilmainham Gaol where you can brush up on your knowledge of political Irish history while you simply can't visit Dublin without viewing the mythical 'Book of Kells' which is housed in Trinity College.

On top of this, Dublin has loads of great pubs & restaurants and the shopping in Dublin is superb with St. Stephens Green Shopping Centre in the heart of the city while more 'out-of-town' shopping centres include The Square, Tallaght, Dundrum Shopping Centre and Blanchardstown Shopping Centre.

One does not need to be specific when one posts the question in the 'Ireland' section.

I'd recommend the Book of Kells in Trinity College, and the Guinness Brewery should be good fun. Also, I'd recommend the Hugh Lane Gallery in the city centre. Enjoy your stay!

go to the tower on top of the brewery , i needed my guiness up there i dont like heights

also go on a boat trip on the river , the boats are covered , and the guys do a good commentary

we stumbled across a gallery beside dublin castle , it was really good

would give the book of kells a miss , not what its cracked up to be

and being dublin theres lots churches

and of course bars

all the best

You could go to Wendy's Headquarters, the Old Horseshoe, COSI, and the Budweiser Brewery. Or, did you mean Dublin, Ireland instead of Dublin, Ohio?

One should be specific when they ask questions.
