What to do in Ireland on Easter weekend?

I am going to be in Ireland for Easter 2009. I have read that most things are closed on Good Friday. Does anyone know what I can expect or recommend anything? Will things be open Sat, Sun, or Monday? I will have a rental car & be staying near Limerick. I can travel anywhere. I will have my spouse & 2 young children with me.

You can go to the beach the pub for a family meal, walking, cinema (most cinemas are open)

Yes, there'll be stuff going on Sat, Sun and Mon. Pubs are closed on Good Friday, and a lot of shops will probably close early.

You could go to Lough Gur or Curraghchase Forest Park if the weather is nice on Good Friday. Or you're not far from the Clare Glens.

Do what everybody else in this country does:
On Holy Thursday you head to your nearest supermarket and stock up on a month's supply of booze so that your car will be lopsided on the way home. You can't be too conservative with the booze buying. It would be a terrible fright altogether if the drink ran out on Good Friday.

I don't know if any of the following are open that weekend, you can google and see, but they're all near enough to Limerick (within 2 1/2 hours drive)
Bunratty castle and folk park
Craggaunowen - recreation of an old Irish crannog or lake dwelling
The Cliffs of Moher - really beautfiul.
The Burren.
