Sinn Féin Assembly group leader, John O'Dowd MLA has said that the party voted to support a DUP motion on the draft guidelines on abortion issued to medical staff by the Department of Health.
Speaking after listening carefully to all the contributions to the debate Mr O'Dowd said:
"Sinn Féin is not in favour of abortion nor do we believe that the 1967 British Abortion Act should be extended to the Six Counties. Instead all possible means of education and support services should be put in place to prevent crisis pregnancies.
"We would not support any attempt to make abortion more widely available but we do accept that health professionals working in this field need clear guidance.
"We have been consistent in our approach. When the abortion issue was discussed in the last Assembly Sinn Féin placed on record our very firm opposition to the extension of the British 1967 Act to the north."

I like the majority of people in the republic of ireland with common sense ,would not pay any attention to what Sinn fein say or any of their policies. After all this is a political party who believe that to own private property should be illegal.
they also could not back up any of their economic policies in the last general election with any hard facts, their economic policies were unattainable and dangerous to the economy, just like Sinn Fein themselves. I think their economic advisor and policy maker is called bubbles and he sits in a room with a typewriter and a bananna, "for the sinners reading this bubbles is a monkey", that was an insult just like your policies are an insult to the people of the republic, although like monkeys sinners also drag their knuckles on the ground.

Sinn Fein are a political party. Google their policies.

I am surprised and impressed by the answers so far. Sinn Fein has a problem here. They want the catholic to increase in north so leading they think to a United Ireland. Yet they are into killing innocents. So they have a problem. They also dont get that the catholics in the north want to keep their benefits of being british. So they are in a problem area.

I don't know and I don't care.

Abortion is basically killing a human being and that's about the size of it......but wait, isn't that what Sinn Fein are into aswell? I think I've just answered your question.

Burnin'
Sinn Féin support abortion which is why I don't support them.

Why When How

They probably don't mind as long as it is restricted to Protestants.
