I hear you. I think Moloko are an okay band myself - but I doubt that many people know them, or what they are. Or else they were just expecting everyone to wax lyrical about the people and countryside and how they're granny's sister's husband's fifth cousin's twice removed donkey is their next-door neighbour to you, or something.

I wouldn't worry about the thumbs-down thing, pet. People put down what they don't know, and the fact that they are ignorant enough to do this is not really your problem.

I think it's because people expect to hear (or read in this case) rolling hills,people, history culture etcetra. Moloko hardly embodies what people want representing Ireland. I'm Irish and it's irks me somewhat. But it's really no big deal. I wouldn't worry about it :)

The Irish are big in to music and it's probably just that there were a few with a different taste in music to you that time rather than any great countrywide dislike of them.Or maybe some thought that with so much to love about Ireland how could you possibly pick Moloko?Each to their own I say.Hardly worth thumbing down for.Incidentally I liked them when I first heard of them,lost track of them now.

I noticed there were lots of thumbs down on that question so it's more likely there was a troll on thumbing down with multiple ID's.

I'm from Ireland and to be honest with ya Moloko are not that popular over here!! I think I might have given you a thumbs down!! Truth is I actually thought you were just randomly saying "moloko" and I hate people that give random one word answers just for the sake of getting 2 points!! See thats cos moloko never even registered with me cos they really are not well known at all! I didnt even know they were irish!!

Anyway their CRAP!!
