a lot will depend on weight an displacement. air is the quickest and for smaller, even if heavy, items it is the least expensive. no special waterproof containers required. for larger items, like furniture you may do well wih the boat. contact local places (united freight, global etc) for more info.

I know that a car costs about $1000 and a move through a company that packs all your stuff, puts it into a 24 foot container and unpacks it over there is about $15000

expect something in between depending mostly on the size of the container and your need for convenience
