What would the monthly cost of living (food, toiletries) for a single, minimalistic immigrant in Ireland be?

I am an American who has heard that the "cost of living" in Ireland is much more than it is in the states -- how many pounds would I need monthly in order to live somewhat simply (food, toiletries, an internet connection)?

I would say roughly, It would be €350-€400 per month.

We dont use pounds in Ireland, we used to use punt, but now we use euros.

lausboz
its euros in ireland. but if your willing to share a house you might be lucky and get a room for 75e including bills and food would be bout 40 e .but if your working the minimum wage in ireland is nearly 9 euro an hour so its not so bad

A Rough estimate would be €150 a week.
