Whats the price difference between Setenta Sports and Sky Sports? which is better? |
In Ireland, how much does the setanta sports package cost and how much does the sky sports one cost?
And which one do you think is better and why?
Thanks |

Along with my boyfriend, I am a huge sports fan. I have both Sky Sports AND Setanta.
The Sky package is dear enough. It is costing us close to €60 a month. That's just the basic package and the sky sports channels only (excluding the likes of Liverpool TV, MUTV etc)
It's great for the premier league and championship football, darts and stuff. It depends on what you are into.
For Setanta 1, 2 & Ireland we are paying a separate €22 a month. Setanta 2 sucks but the other 2 are fine. Again great for showing football matches on Saturdays (one of the only days that Sky does not show football) and the odd few during the week. Also good for rugby games. Plus you also have the "Special One TV" on that...ha ha!
Out of the two, I prefer Sky but because both of them buy up viewing rights to matches, it can be a bit annoying if you have one and not the other but I would recommend Sky. Setanta is cool but personally I don't think its worth €22 a month. |

sky is 12 dearer here in Cavan but is a hugely superior service
Why? Sky have outbid everyone for the Prem soccer next season (1.1billion if memory serves) so soon there will be no Setanta |

Setanta is only good if you want Scottish football and it only has 3 options. Setanta Golf is extra.
Sky is far better, but more expensive.
If I was to make a choice, I would pay the extra for Sky.
Also, Setanta was recently outbidded for next years premier matches, so anyone with a long term contract with Setanta will loose out next season...... a waste of money. |

If it's football you're after then forget about Setanta. They've lost loads for next season (If they have any at all) I'm not too sure. You're better off going for sky. Although I heard on the grapevine that Sky were considering offering sports 1, 2 and 3 on a subscription for freeview boxes. Would be perfect, but it's doubtful. |

It's like comparing night and day , Sky sports is by far the best. Unfortunately i have to take setanta because it's the only way to see Scottish football. Sorry i cannot tell you cost of sky sports because it's part of a package. Setanta costs between £12 and £14 depending on how you get , Freeview is the cheapest. |
