Whats the rough cost of a taxi from lower gardiner st to temple bar ?

Better to walk, the nearest taxi rank is in O'Connell Street. The easiest route is
at the bottom of lower Gardiner St. turn right onto Lower Abbey St. and then ahead to meet O'Connell St. Turn left and over O'Connell Bridge onto Westmoreland St. Half way up turn right onto Fleet St. Straight ahead is Temple Bar.
Or after crossing O'Connell Bridge turn right for 100 yards and enter Temple Bar through the Merchant's Arch at the Halfpenny Bridge.
It's a safe walk, even on the way home, and shouldn't take more than 12/ 15 minutes.

Not sure, but you could walk it in about 20 minutes.

xalynn
It's a walkable distance (15-20 minutes) and if you're taking a taxi, it would cost about 5-6euro, as the initial charge is 4.10 (4.45 for premium rate, i.e. evenings and sundays and public holidays) that includes about 1km of driving distance, and the charge for the first 14km is 1.03 per km (1.35 for premium rate). The driving distance between the two places is approximately 2km. If the traffic is heavy and you're stuck in a traffic jam then it'll inevitably cost a bit more.
