Your question is a bit optimistic Our 'summers' usually don't last as long as a month.
Traditionally Summer falls somewhere between June and August but our last one was 2006 as far as I remember and it wasn't that good.
Not that I miss the summer at all to be honest. I challenge anyone to bring 25 three to four year olds to a crowded zoo in Madrid in 30+ degrees and still like the summer.
I'm sure if you've lovely Spanish skin it's great but I'm not designed for the heat. Anything over 21 degrees and I get very grumpy and sweaty, which is why I think winter is servery underrated season. |

Officially July and August, but in reality summer in Ireland is a state of mind. Don't come if you don't like cold wet weather. |

Best weather is very often in May, but summer season is the same months as everywhere else in northern hemisphere. Summer holidays for secondary school students are June, July and August. If you are an Irish politician, then summer is at least two months longer. Summer time could also describe daylight saving period, which this year is Sunday 30 March to Sunday 26 October.
All clear now? |

Summer time, the season? Same months it is in Britain, France, Germany, and even the U.S. Or do you mean 'summer' time when the clocks are set ahead one hour (daylight savings time in the U.S.)? Last Sunday in March (1am) until the last Sunday in October (1am). |

It is taught in school in Ireland that the summer months are May, June and July. This can be confusing considering that the British months are June, July and August.
The seasons in Ireland come from Celtic times as the main Celtic festivals mark the beginning of a new season.
Spring begins on the first of February with the feast of Imbolc. Summer begins on the first of May with the feast of Bealtaine. Autumn begins on the first of August with Lughnasadh.
Winter begins on the first of November with the feast of Samhain.

It is in the northern hemisphere so it june, july, august like the everywhere else in the northern hemisphere. I presume that's what you mean |

Well the summer months in ireland are May,June and July. The best weather usually occurs in May. To be quite honest the weather during the summer months is really bad ,in general during the past few years summer has seemed more like late autumn or winter |

Official summer in Ireland begins 1st May and continues until 31st July. (That's not the same as the rest of the northern hemisphere. Whoever said that needs to get their facts straight.)
Real summer here... we mightn't see it. You've got a better chance of a few hours of sunshine during June, July and August, but I wouldn't exactly put money on it. |
