Bairbre N
We have what we call a "soft" climate!!! Basically it can rain everyday!!! Not drastic thunderstorms - usually - but ducks and plants and anyone else who enjoys the rain cetainly has no complaints in Ireland!!! Most rainfall is probably in March/April/ October/November.
According to the Met Éireann website: www.met.ie:
The annual number of days with more than 1 mm of rain varies between about 150 in the drier parts and over 200 in the wetter parts of the country.

Daniel, you know that Ireland is famous for being green ? How do you think it stays so lush all the year round ?

Orla C
Generally all year round, which is why it's pretty green all year round.

The thing about Irish weather is; it is not extreme. So although we have rain all year round, we never have very cold weather. Most of the year can be pleasant, if you come in the Summer months (May June July) you can get pretty nice weather.
As one of the other posters said. check out meteireann.ie.
Good luck on your travels and don't forget to pack your rainwear

Tribbles

January 1 through December 31... seriously.

'Er indoors!!
Between Jan1st &Jan1st. No seriously, I went to Spiddle in Galway in May last year for 2 weeks. It rained non stop for the whole fortnight, but oh!! those wonderful Irish people, The music, the "craic" in the pubs, the Guinness, and the pretty, non chavvy girls, made the rain un-noticable.

It's always raining season in Ireland, but we get the occasional dry day too. If you want to choose a time to come for good weather, try early May. There are nearly always some sunny weeks then.
