I'm from Kerry, Ireland. Very beautiful there. I suggest you go to as many places as possible. Dublin is alright ...good for shopping and the lot. I recommend going to Cork city. Also, the ring of Kerry is great if you are lucky to see it clear weather. Killarney (also next to Muckross House & Gardens) is a nice but quite touristy town. The River Shannon is nice...Cliffs of Moher in Clare are cool to see. Ireland is just really beautiful! Of course you should visit a few pubs as well! :)
Castles are very interesting for most Americans who have never seen them. There are a lot so I'll let you research those yourself. There are even castle hotels if you have the money such as Adare and Ashford!
The Aran Islands are kinda cool as well. |

Head to Cork and have a pint for me.
Stay at http://www.sheilashostel.ie/newsite/ if you are low on cash.
Can walk to everywhere from there.
Lace up your walking shoes - great walking paths in Cork. |

Well, of course Dublin is fun all the way through. Blarney castle? Too touristy??
If you get a chance to visit Leap Castle, do. Donegal is wonderful and Belfast will blow you away (ha! Not literally though). |

the chump at the top said "the pub". I'd have to go with the pubs. In the plural. Just go out drinking every night. |

Go to the library and get a travel guide like Frommes. That way you can decide what you might like to see |
