An American in Ireland
 |
You will not be able to get entitlements unless you can show that you have a parent or grandparents born in Ireland.
If you apply for a permanent residency you can only recieve entitlements after you have lived there for at least a year.
For example to qualify for council housing entiltlements you will need to be living in Ireland for at least two years after living there three years most of the year before applying for permanent residency.
but it takes three years to establishment that you want to live there before applying for permanent residency there.
If you want to work in Ireland you need to first find a job in Ireland that will hire you and apply for your work permit for you.
you cannot apply for a work permit yourself. So you can go online to some Ireland Job sites and look, post your resume, and hope. I have gotten some good hits.
As far a jobs and you coming from other countries. Ireland gives special consideration for anyone in the nursing field, doctors, social services, and of course technology.
Intel, Microsoft, Dell, most of them have plants in Ireland you can always go to those sites and apply online.
Hope this helps. |
