The Shadow
HOW CAN YOU BUY KILLARNEY
(Gerald Morrison - Joeseph Kennedy - Ted Steels)
« © '61 Colgems Music, ASCAP / MCA Music, ASCAP »

An American landed on Erin's green isle
He gazed on Killarny with a rapturous smile
How can I buy it he said to the guy
I'll tell you how with a smile he replied

How can you buy all the stars in the sky
How can you buy two blue Irish eyes
When you can purchase a fine mother's heart
How you can buy Killarny

Nature restore of her kiss with a smile
Me and Rose the shamrock and the barley
When you can buy all those wonderful things
Then you can buy Killarny

Hello,
It's in County Kerry, and is a very beautiful place to come from, although I am a GALWEGIAN, if I wanted to come from anywhere else on my home soil it would be anywhere in the County Kerry. Take yourself off to Kilarney, and sail its lake so blue, and see where your Grandmother had to live, and wish you could have walked its mountains and its green so very green lanes, am I waxing lyrical or what, well it will make you sing too. go and make your Irish eyes weep with happiness, and thank your God for the sight which will ease the sorest of eyes
Bye for now..................Tony M.........
