Where, in your opinion, is the best place in Ireland for a Hen Night?

Trying to decide on a location for my best friend's Hen, any ideas or personal experience welcome! We've decided to stay in Ireland, but we'd like to go for something a little different.

Sshhhh! It's Podge and Rodge
Ballydung Manor.
Rodge and myself will make sure that things go with a bang!

I found myself alone in Dublin for my 40th birthday (airline cockups etc). A quiet drink in a local bar, where I mentioned my predicament to the barman, turned into the biggest party I've ever had.

Go to Dublin, the city is fantastic and so are the people. They really know how to party. You may be with strangers, but you will leave with many friends and a yearning to go back.

Guaranteed Irish!!!
Id stay clear of Dublin. alot of women in dublin are going to the country for their hen weekends too.youll have alot more fun and wider choice.Ive been to 5 one in Kilkenny and waterford rest in Dublin country wins hands down everytime.
why not try a murder mystery one

Has to be Galway, although I think Limerick would be good too, having been out in Limerick several times.

Westport or Carrick on Shannon two great places for a hen night, if you go in quiet time Westport best rest of time either, better than big towns.

Maxi
It used to be Dublin but not any more, at many places you are not welcome in hen or stag do's, now it's Northern Ireland's Belfast, great places to go and stay

Galway or Kilkenny. My buddy had her hen in Kilkenny, and another friend had hers in galway, both mighty nights!

POCKET JOKERS - THE DARKSIDE
According to friends, Westport in Co. Mayo is suppossed to be the best craic for hens & stags. You avoid the hustle & bustle of a busy city.

If ya wanted a city, Killkenny is a lovely place & i've heard great reports from there 2!

Id base myself in Dublin if your going for a few nights, Temple Bar is great craic for Hens nights, you can book the Party Bus http://www.1800hummer.ie/partybus/index-partybus.htm which will bring you to laods of different bars over the city and drop you off at the nightclub of your choice! Go to Copper face Jacks on Harcourt Street, its an absolute hay barn but guarnteed the best night ever, then go to the Manhattan bar around the corner or gigs place for a galss of wine and a full irish breakfast in the wee hours of the morning, great fun!!

I always say I'd like to have mine in Kilkenny but that's not very different! Maybe you could go to Cork or Dublin that offer a lot of options and pick a theme depending on what your friend likes...

letterkenny or galway!

Sue M
I would stick to dublin, the craic is great and most bars are welcoming.

Ive been to galway and kilkenny on Hens but we found it really hard to get in to a lot of bars and clubs(and we were not roudy or too loud)..

Temple bar is the place to go..

Enjoy..

In an Irish farm?
