The west of Ireland is best - Mayo in particular. Breathtaking natural beauty includes spectacular atlantic coastlines, mountains and lakes. And, the people are mighty! Easy- going, more in tune with nature and not all that bothered about hype. Try Kiltimagh.....small town in East Mayo, pretty, friendly and within east reach of everything including Ireland West Airport.

Sunshine
County Wexford has more sunshine than any other county each season throughout the year,or so I've heard.

It depends on whether you prefer the countryside of the city.

There are also smaller towns and villages, which are sort of halfway between the two.

I like the countryside, it's nice and quiet. I have a preference for the West of the country, the people are very nice generally. Not great infrastructure though. But then it depends on what's important to you.

Co. Mayo on the west coast. we have the longest coastline, largest island, Achill. Croagh Patrick, Clew Bay with its 365 islands. Largest mountains in Connacht. Ceide Fields, older than the pyrimids. Ireland West Airport Knock you can do your weekly shopping there before you take off. there is loads more. enjoy Mayo

In a nice quiet village about 30 minutes from any Irish city so you can have both lifestyles.

i think you should live in co cork.
the reason being you can choose to live in the city or the countryside.
Cork is the largest county in Ireland.
the place is not over populated
the people are very friendly
