The city centre is 10 miles from the airport. Dublin is a fairly big city with over 1 million people.
The party will be all around the Temple Bar area which is close by to Christ Church Cathedral, when the New Year bells are rung out at midnight. You will be guaranteed a big kiss from a hairy Irishman that night.
Enjoy your visit.

I don't know where they is. Try Grafton Street/St Stephen's Green area.

Agree with all answers, Temple Bar all the way

I'd say the Bohemian shops in Temple Bar, which, with its cobbled streets preserved from medieval times, offers a variety of nightlife options as well.

Q bar is really good, avoid Reds like the plague, its full of under age kids of about 12 getting locked and thinking there all grown. Morons!
Most places are good, you'll have a right laugh and if not, just move to another, a lot of places are free before a certain time (usually about 12)

jammy_sco
