Where is the best put in the West of Ireland ie Galway to get a pint of Guinness, this St Patricks Weekend?

for a more traditional irish night:
for a younger crowd: the Quays or King's Head.
Older, quieter crowd: the crane bar (live music most of the time, my personal favorite) and mcswiggins
in the middle: monroe's tavern (i spent most of st. pat's '04 there myself, good times)

for a more modern, urban, younger night:
the cellar bar and the living room

all will have great guinness (mcswiggins is one of the few to have extra cold though, which i think is the best)

either way, hit up a chipper and get some curry fries when the night is all said and done, they may not cure the hangover but they go well with any pint (or any number of pints)

Hello,
the best answer to this query is, you can get the best pint of guinness anywhere and everywhere, just have a small bit of patience, and let it settle for a moment, and then feel the luxury of the lovely black stuff as it enters your body, and chills you with all its delightful flavours and after-taste, it won't be long before you will want to enjoy that occurance again, so nip to the next pub and try it there, I BET, IT TASTES EXACTLY THE SAME. Mmmmmm, and you have a whole St Patricks week-end to keep on trying to get a bad pint of Guinness, you will really have to be a very patient drinker indeed, what with every pint being as good as the last one, and equally as good as the next one...Slainte' my friend, and a Happy St Patricks day to you, why don't you join in the parade somewhere, there's a great parade in Galway, and you might even hear my voice too, as well as my family's.
I bid ye welcome to my home Town,....... Tony M........

I will have to say that some of the best pints in the lovely galway are to be had at:

huge's on woodquay - old style locals bar that does a great pint

ti neachtains, or just neachtains to most, corner of quay st, really bohemian crew, often live music (free of course) anything from trad to jazz, tourists, english language students and everyone else

lovely bar just opened up last year out towards salthill called the cottage, would be worth a look if you're pub crawling

and have a great one, I'll be working so have one for me!
