Hey I'm Irish and I'd highly recommend Connemara in West Ireland, and Kerry and West-Cork in the South West. Very scenic. |

Wales is great for scenery, great coastline in Pembrokeshire and good mountains inland in Brecon. Also the Lakes but it is very wet there. |

Come to the SW coast of Ireland and see Cork and Kerry. You might never go back. You can see scenery like that in every county in Ireland. |

prudhoe
its in northumberland, has beautiful and your not far from scotland if you like it there
we have a castle and its soooooooo beautiful
prudhoe is in the north east in between hexham and newcastle, so your near shops
there are lots of woodland areas( called paddock wood, heinz wood etc...)
theres a farm round the edge of the west of the town, and a highland cattle Centre too(you would be surprised with how amazing prudhoe and its surroundings is)
theres also a leasure center( swimming pool, gym etc...)
if you have children there are lots of primary schools, a middle school and an excellent high school
it really is an amazing place |

PS I love was filmed in County Wicklow, as far as I know. It looks like Wicklow, anyway. But there are better films from Ireland, trust me ... |

I'm Irish and in Ireland there's tons of places you could go for scenery. You could go to Blarney Castle. It's very historical but amazing at the same time. When you reach the top of the castle you get to kiss the Blarney Stone and get your photo taken. Also in Dublin(the capital city) You could go to the Dublin zoo or even in Westport ( the west side of Ireland and a very little town) you could climb Crough Patrick( a very famous mountain) and look over at all the scenary.
Bundoran in Donegal would be a great place to go.
In Ireland, once your in the country side you'll find some great scenery.
Achill Island ( an island off the west of Ireland) has amazing scenary and it's good if your into surfing and sailing etc.
Here's an Achill Tourism website.

You could do the usual London trips for a couple of days, then my advice would be to head north and check out York, the Yorkshire Moors then finally up into Scotland.

there is soo much to see in London, but some parts are a bit rough! As for scenery, national parks have great scenery. There is the Peak District, Dartmoor to name a few |

I haven't seen that film but there's lots of nice places to see if you like the countryside. You can't beat the north west coast of Scotland for example. If you don't want to go that far then other beautiful places include: The Black Mountains in Wales, the Peak District, the Lake District, Devon, the Malvern Hills. There's many more nice places, often you'll just encounter such scenery in unexpected places. |

I went in May 2008 after seeing the movie also.. It is a magical place. A friend of mine drove me to Enniskerry (where Jerry's parents live in the movie). Didn't quite see much of Wicklow (again where it is set) but upon my return from Ireland I resigned from my job to return on a working holiday visa. I have had a few things come up which have made me postpone my trip but I will be heading back May 09.
I also did a Paddywagon tour & did the B&B option- had the most amazing guide, Phil. The people are fantastic & my favourite places were Sligo & Killarney - but I am sure you will have a wonderful time anywhere you go.
Trad music - guiness - fab food - laughter!
It certainly did not disappoint! I cannot wait to get back & made so many wonderful friends. |

The "West" of both countries is by far the most beautiful as far as scenery is concerned.
If you want the scenery in the Movies, then that's where you want to go. |

Surrey is a really good place for scenery. It's one of the home counties, south west of London.
If you go to Guildford there is a historical town with great shops, but it is surrounded by the North Downs which are amazing! There's the Mount, Newland's Corner, Box Hill, Leith Hill, The Chantries, Pewly Downs, Chilworth Gunpowder Mills,St Martha's, the River Wey, St Catherine's.... soo much countryside with AMAZING views! all surrounding amazing towns and landmarks such as Guildford Cathedral, Guildford Castle, and the famous clock on the High Street.
Other places in the country include Cornwall, Wales, Lake District, Yorkshire, Devon, Wiltshire, the Isle of Wight..... |

Sorry Joe - I live 5 miles from Guildford and I would not recommend it to a visitor. For a start the parking is awful and expensive and its NOT really a very exciting town. Go to places like Bath, York and Windsor ( bear in mind though that they are touristy towns so therefore have the usual overpriced tat) But for scenery and views go to the Cotswolds, North Devon and Cornwall they are stunning. |
