Apparently if they were made to pay into their pension schemes the way that private sector workers have to, Euro 1.5 billion could be saved. That's a lot of hospital beds.

Which county in Ireland do you think is the best to live in?

I'm thinking of eventually moving to Ireland...once I get a job and save up enough money that is. But I'm not too sure where I'd like to end up. Quite frankly, I enjoyed Bantry and Dublin the most, but didn't really have much time to get to know the different counties, so its not really a fair judgment.

Go to Killarney - seriously. I have lived in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Limerick and all of them are way too expensive and troublesome....

For scenery, culture, I'd suggest Kerry. I think it is the most beautiful county in Ireland. Some place like Tralee or Killarney, I've never had a bad experience there and the people are fantastic.
If you prefer a large city I would say Cork, or if you'd prefer a nice town I quite like Thurles and Nenagh, both in Tipperary.
It's all down to personal preference at the end of the day- everyone is going to have their own opinions but Dublin is pretty expensive and congested in my opinion. Its a great city and all but if you'd like to have a bit of peace, I would suggest a town so you can enjoy the best of both worlds.

I like Dublin but its very expensive to live in, a lot of people overcome this by living in the counties surrounding it and commuiting. I live in Meath and it takes me 30mins to get to Dublin. You could also try out Wicklow (very pretty), Kildare, and Louth. Towns outside of the city are also cheaper such as Lucan or Blanchardstown.

Well I like Galway, its cultural, its clean its quite and A lot of people still speak the national language in some areas of it!
And plus the city has everything and still isnt to big to get around!

County Down has some fantastic places, as does Armagh and Fermanagh. County Clare is beautiful and all of Kerry. But I guess the best is still Derry.

Dublin for me :)

You only went to Dublin and Bantry, and you're going to live in Ireland?????!!!

But both of those places have very few Irish left in them anymore!!!!

Come on. Wash your ears out and take the time to see the place, especially if you want to come live here.
