Which is the best season to Visit ireland?

There really is only one season in Ireland, known in the Irish language as 'Monodamp'. It's never freezing and it's never hot, we just have a narrow spectrum of mild damp windiness.

I think the best times to visit Ireland are April/May and September/October. The kids have all gone back to school, there aren't as many tourists, prices are a bit lower and you've got about as good a chance of decent weather as you'll get.

If you're planning a trip, check out

for all the official info, details of festivals/attractions, and contact details of B&Bs and hotels.

Podge and Rodge Tribute Band
The silly season usually around August time. RTE close down for the month and we usually have Reeling in The Years shoved down our throats. RTE usually have some ridiculous reality show as well and as for the newspapers, if a man farted outside a pub in Nobber it would be front page news the next day.

What they call the 'Marching Season'. You can get to see all sorts of pageantry and lively displays.

Andy Rua
Doesn't matter - it rains the whole time.
